CORN

There is a record amount of corn planted this year. This is partly due to the Government requiring alcohol to be added to gasoline. It takes 3.9 gallons of diesel to produce 1 gallon of alcohol, not to mention the acres of land used to produce alcohol, that could be used for food production. This will be another failure of our Government. Until you see EXXON printed on a combine it is not feasible.

This is a small portion of the Confederates, just as many Federals, over 6,000 were registered. There was over 100 cannon and it was noisy. When the muskets went off it sounded like sheets ripping. This was the 150th anniversary of the battle of Shiloh, the Yankees called it Pittsburg landing. The war of Northern Aggression could have ended here if the Confederate General would have listened to Nathan Bedford Forrest and moved another 200 yds. If wishes were horses, dreamers would fly.
